Job Description:

Join the neuro ICU team at Mercy Hospital Southeast as a Registered Nurse dedicated to providing specialized care to patients with neurological and stroke conditions. You'll work 12-hour night shifts in a 17-bed unit, managing patients with Parkinson’s, stroke, lumbar issues, and other neurosurgical cases. This assignment offers the chance to enhance your neuro nursing skills, especially in monitoring neurological changes, administering IV therapies, and collaborating with a skilled healthcare team. Your role will involve developing nursing diagnoses, coordinating care plans, and supporting patients and their families through education and reassurance. Charge experience is required or must be willing to learn; neuro and stroke experience is highly preferred. This is a great opportunity to dive deep into neuro patient care, with a manageable patient ratio of 1:6, in a facility recognized for its stroke and cardiac centers.

Location: Cape Girardeau, MO
Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Duration: 13 weeks (up to 26 weeks upon request)
Hours per week: 36 hours guaranteed, with options for 48 upon request
