Job Description:

Join a challenging ICU nursing assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota, where you'll care for complex surgical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma patients. This 14-week contract involves 12-hour day shifts, with an average of 48 hours per week, working in a mixed unit divided into specialized pods—your critical thinking and adaptability will shine as you navigate high-acuity situations. Experience with ventilator management, hemodynamic lines, proning, and IV medications like vasopressors and sedation is essential. You'll collaborate closely with a team of intensivists, charge nurses, and support staff, including blood draws and resource nurses. Epic experience and certifications such as TNCC, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required, and familiarity with Impella, IABP, or CRRT is strongly preferred. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to handle diverse and complex cases in a well-resourced environment, with thorough orientation and supportive staff ready to help you succeed.
