Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract places you in a Med Surg unit with 38 beds in Norfolk, Nebraska. You will work 12-hour day shifts, providing bedside care for adult and possibly older teen patients with a variety of diagnoses such as pneumonia, UTI, dehydration, influenza, and post-surgical patients including orthopedic, spinal, and general surgery cases. Experience with EPIC documentation, titrating drips like Heparin, Lasix, Bumex, and managing telemetry are essential. You’ll be engaging in shift reports, proactive patient rounding, and helping maintain a team-focused atmosphere. The assignment provides an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with high patient turnover, where adaptability and teamwork are key. Expect to collaborate closely with cardiac techs and charge nurses, and to support float to IMCU if needed. Scrubs are provided, and the orientation includes 1.5 shifts to get you comfortable.
