Job Description:

This travel RN position is focused on caring for surgical and medical-surgical patients with advanced pulmonary needs, including patients requiring ventilator management, IV therapies, and respiratory equipment like BiPAP and CPAP. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts (7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.), with every other weekend and holiday rotations. You will be scheduled based on the unit’s needs, with no block scheduling or self-scheduling, and will be expected to float within your competencies. Your experience with IV administration, respiratory support, and specialized pulmonary care will be valuable as you support a 32-bed unit primarily managing complex cases such as pneumonia, COPD, and post-operative surgical patients. Prior travel experience is preferred but not required. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to experience a busy surgical unit at Ellis Hospital, a setting that emphasizes advanced pulmonary nursing and collaborative teamwork. You will also be part of orientations held twice a month to ensure smooth onboarding and compliance.
