Job Description:

This 13-week contract offers a unique opportunity to work in a vibrant research psychiatric center located in Kansas City, MO. As a mental health specialist on the night shift, you'll provide critical support across various units such as ADOL, Serenity, ITU, SRAD, and VINE. Your role involves assessing patients' mental health through detailed histories and behavioral observations, developing individualized care strategies, and administering psychiatric medications with vigilant monitoring. The assignment is especially engaging because you'll work with diverse patient populations—from adolescents to seniors—each with distinct needs. Expect to be part of a team that values integrity, compassion, and respect, while utilizing Meditech documentation and contemporary equipment. The schedule requires covering three 12-hour night shifts per day, with an expected weekly commitment of 36 hours, offering a balance of demanding work and meaningful impact.
