Job Description:

This observation MS RN role offers a rewarding 13-week contract at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh, Indiana. The position involves working 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with a focus on patient assessments, IV insertions, and managing Med/Surg cases such as chest pain, abdominal issues, and neurological concerns. You'll experience a mix of teamwork support from experienced LPNs and CNAs, and might be called upon to float within the campus or to nearby facilities like Deaconess Henderson, making each day varied. The assignment is perfect for nurses with at least two years of Med/Surg experience, recent EPIC charting skills, and a knack for critical thinking. Note: No local candidates are accepted, and the work environment values resilience and adaptability. Expect to be part of a teaching hospital, possibly assisting with student precepting, in a setting that emphasizes collaboration and dedicated patient care.
