Job Description:

This 12-week contract offers an engaging opportunity for registered nurses experienced in progressive care to work in the PCU float pool at Inova Alexandria Hospital. You'll be assigned to support adult inpatients with diagnoses ranging from stroke to respiratory failure, often floating between units such as telemetry, medical-surgical, and orthopedic. The shifts are 12 hours overnight, providing a unique chance to experience the hospital’s nocturnal rhythm. You’ll interpret telemetry strips, manage cardiac drips like amiodarone and heparin, and respond to a variety of acute medical needs—all while providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting that values your adaptability.
