Job Description:

This respiratory therapy contract offers a unique opportunity to work independently in a hospital emergency room setting. As the sole respiratory therapist on shift, you'll be responsible for managing patients who are primarily in acute care situations, such as ventilator or BiPAP/CPAP support, with minimal patient interaction outside of ER responsibilities. The role involves working rotating 12-hour shifts — during day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and occasionally night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM — with flexible scheduling to cover staffing needs. It's a chance to hone your skills in a focused environment, providing vital support in a facility that resembles an acute care hospital but operates within an ER setting. This assignment runs for approximately 13 weeks, offering a consistent and engaging experience for practicing respiratory care in an environment that emphasizes independence and specialization.
