Job Description:

This 13-week contract is for a skilled Oncology Chemo Certified Registered Nurse eager to bring expertise to both inpatient and outpatient oncology areas. You'll be administering IV chemotherapy, managing ports, and caring for patients with various cancer types, including breast, lung, prostate, and more. The role involves working in a setting where collaboration with pharmacy, social services, and transportation teams ensures comprehensive patient support. Expect to monitor chemotherapy, recognize abnormal labs, and perform complex IV therapies—all while engaging in meaningful patient education. Unique to this assignment, you'll work alongside a team that includes an in-house medical oncologist and daily phone support from an intensivist, providing a valuable learning experience in a busy oncology unit. The daily schedule consists of 8-hour shifts, and your professional skills in care coordination and psychosocial support will be vital to success.
