Job Description:

This 24-week travel assignment places you on the 7th-floor oncology unit of a busy hospital in Albany, GA. You'll work 12-hour day shifts, primarily focusing on caring for patients with complex hematology conditions such as thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, sickle cell crises, and other oncology-related needs. The role involves collaboration with charge nurses, nurse aides, and specialists, with occasional floating to medical overflow areas. You will get hands-on experience with Meditech EMR, and if you have certifications like NIHSS or ONS, you'll be well-positioned to participate in chemo treatments. This assignment offers a balanced schedule of every other weekend and rotating holidays, with a minimum of 36 hours per week for a total of 6 weeks, providing ample opportunity to immerse yourself in this specialized healthcare environment.
