Job Description:

This CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist role at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dedicated cardiovascular OR environment. You will assist surgeons during complex cardiac and thoracic procedures, passing instruments, preparing the surgical field, and maintaining a sterile environment. The shift involves four 10-hour days from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a consistent schedule. The assignment emphasizes hands-on assistance in high-stakes surgeries, with on-call responsibilities as needed. The role is unique for its focus on cardiac surgery, requiring strong skills in thoracic daVinci procedures and prior experience in a CVOR setting. You will work within a four-room OR that supports efficient surgical workflows, helping to keep cases flowing smoothly and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
