Job Description:

Join a busy Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team at a Level II Trauma Center in Montgomery, AL, for a 13-week travel assignment. This role is ideal for experienced CVOR professionals with 2-3 years of specialized experience looking to work 10-hour shifts across four days each week. You'll be responsible for assisting in complex heart surgeries such as CABG, TAVR, AVR, and MVR, along with procedures involving sternotomy and thoracotomy. Expect to work alongside a dedicated team of nurses and surgical staff using Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing systems. This assignment offers a firsthand look into a vibrant surgery department with supportive leadership, including charge nurses and service line team leaders, in a hospital that features 15 beds, including two dedicated CV rooms. The role includes orientation, with a two-week buddy shift to help you settle into the routine. On-call duties are 10-12 days per month, and holiday work is expected according to the contract, with time-off requests approved by the manager. Scrubs are provided in green, and parking is available in the hospital parking deck.
