Job Description:

Join a newly established Medical/Surgical unit in Fargo, ND, where you'll be at the forefront of caring for patients transitioning from the ER to a dedicated bed. This 15-bed unit specializes in handling general Medical/Surgical cases, with a focus on discharge-ready patients awaiting placement. You'll perform initial admissions and patient assessments, managing their care until they are transferred to their designated units. The role involves working with advanced equipment like Epic, Zebra phones, Omnicell medication systems, and Aleris IV pumps. Expect a fast-paced environment requiring adaptability, attention to detail, and strong technical skills. You'll work 12-hour rotating shifts, with every other weekend and holiday off, and have the chance to float to other units as needed. Experience with Level 1 trauma, Epic EMR, and general Med Surg procedures will help you succeed in this unique and evolving setting.
