Job Description:

This 13-week assignment is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse working night shifts (12 hours, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) in Lafayette, Louisiana. You will care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as AKI, CKD, ESRD, diabetes, COVID-19, COPD exacerbations, wound infections, and more. Your responsibilities include managing general medical and surgical cases, overseeing dialysis patients, and performing procedures like wound debridements, central line insertions, and dialysis access placements. The role requires at least 2 years of acute care experience, renal experience, and current ACLS and BLS certifications. Flexibility to float to other units is expected, and emergency team participation may be called upon. The weekly hours total 36, giving you time to explore the area after your shifts, with an engaging mix of patient care and procedural work.
