Job Description:

This PICU RN contract offers an engaging opportunity to work in a vibrant Pediatric Intensive Care Unit that handles a diverse mix of medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiovascular patients. You will be providing direct patient oversight in a unit equipped with advanced technology such as Philips bedside monitors and ventilator systems like Vents trilogy and LTV. Shifts are 12 hours, running from 7 PM to 7:30 AM or 7 AM to 7:30 PM, with every other weekend commitment. This assignment stands out as your chance to care for critically ill pediatric patients in a setting that encourages collaboration with intensivists 24/7 and a dedicated nurse assistant. Your role involves managing patient needs with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2, reading cardiac rhythms, and helping coordinate care during high-acuity situations. The unit’s environment is designed to support RN autonomy while maintaining a team-oriented approach, making it a rewarding and unique experience for dedicated PICU nurses.
