Job Description:

Join our team as a Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse for a 13-week contract in Norfolk, Virginia. This role involves providing specialized nursing support in a busy pediatric ER setting, primarily during 12-hour night shifts. You'll be responsible for managing acute cases such as asthma attacks, DKA, neonatal fevers, and sickle cell crises, alongside performing procedures like moderate sedation, intubations, and vent management. The position offers a hands-on experience with a variety of critical equipment, including ventilators, PICC lines, and blood products, all while working alongside dedicated ancillary staff. Expect a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 and a chance to make a direct impact in a fast-paced environment that truly values pediatric emergency care.
