Job Description:

This PICU travel assignment offers a day-shift schedule in a 24-bed unit caring for a diverse range of critically ill pediatric patients. You will be managing complex cases that include ventilated, post-op, and medically sick children, utilizing equipment like vents, chest tubes, central lines, and syringe pumps. The role involves performing procedures such as central line placement, chest tube insertion, sedation, LPs, and intubations. You'll work alongside a dedicated team, with a typical staffing of 1 charge nurse and 5-6 RNs per shift, and provide care that includes high-acuity cases requiring intubation, ECMO, and CRRT support. Candidates must have ICU-level care experience and intubated/vent experience, with PALS certification required. This assignment is perfect for professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
