Job Description:

Step into the fast-paced world of Salem’s emergency departments, where you will be covering observation beds that serve as a critical pause for adult patients in need of specialized assessment and care. This contract offers a unique blend of adult-focused emergency nursing with a rotation of day, evening, and night shifts, including every-other-weekend coverage. Your expertise in assessment, IV administration, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, and patient education will be vital as you manage a patient load of 10-16 adults with a 4:1 or 5:1 clinician-to-patient ratio. The role challenges you to apply critical thinking and advanced nursing skills in a setting that values both efficiency and quality, with an emphasis on teamwork and adaptability.
