Job Description:

Join our emergency department team as an ER registered nurse on a 20-week night shift contract in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is designed for experienced nurses comfortable managing adult trauma cases, ST-elevations, strokes, and complex medical emergencies. Expect a fast-paced environment with approximately 170 patient visits per day and a patient census of 53 beds. Your skills in IV starts, triage, telemetry, and conscious sedation will be crucial, along with certifications in TNCC, ACLS, NIH, MOAB, and BLS. Trauma experience is a plus. This assignment offers a well-rounded experience in a team-focused setting, with nights spent supporting critical and non-critical patients, and no call or float duties required. The unit accommodates 12-hour night shifts, with every other weekend work, and offers the stability of contracts through the holidays, up to February 2027.

Job Specifics:

Location: Charlotte, NC
Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Duration: 20 weeks (can be extended up to February 2027)
Weekly Hours: 48 hours
Additional Details: No call, no float, every other weekend required, orientation 36-48 hours, scrub color Navy Blue. Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to start. The unit manages adult trauma, STEMI, stroke, and level 2 trauma patients, with patient ratios of 3:1 non-critical and 2:1 critical. EMRN management systems include PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR.
