Job Description:

Join a dedicated cardiovascular ICU team on a 13-week travel contract in Peoria, Illinois, working 12-hour night shifts. This role offers an engaging experience for experienced CVICU nurses comfortable with high-acuity cardiac patients. You’ll be managing a variety of complex cases, including post-op open heart surgery, VAD and transplant patients, and those with severe heart failure, many ventilated and on multiple titrated drips. Your expertise in interpreting strips, quick decision-making, and critical assessment skills will be crucial in providing top-tier care in a fast-paced, high-stress setting. The unit maintains a strong focus on teamwork, safety, and protocol adherence, with comprehensive support from charge nurses, house supervisors, and round-the-clock respiratory therapists and intensivists.
