Job Description:

Join a reputable healthcare facility in Peoria for an exciting 13-week contract providing intensive care unit (ICU) nursing. This role involves working 12-hour night shifts in a critical care environment, managing ventilated, sedated, and post-surgical patients. You'll be responsible for titrating IV drips such as Precedex, Propofol, and Fentanyl, care for CVCs, PICCs, and tracheostomy patients, and collaborating with a dedicated team of respiratory therapists and telehealth MDs. Expect to work with a small, focused unit of 8 beds, where nurses provide primary ICU care, handle complex cases including respiratory failure and cardiac patients, and perform advanced procedures with minimal supervision. This assignment offers a chance to hone your critical care skills in a stable, supportive setting that values your expertise and independence.
