Job Description:

Join a 13-week travel contract on a versatile unit that combines both floor and step-down care. As a registered nurse in this role, you'll work on a 29-bed MedSurg and Stepdown unit that is still under construction, with all beds equipped for step-down care by early 2026. Your responsibilities will include managing a diverse patient population, primarily with medical diagnoses, and titrating drips such as Heparin, insulin, and anti-hypertensives based on written orders. You'll be part of a team that operates 12-hour day shifts, with a focus on delivering quality care in a setting where charge RNs and house supervisors are available 24/7. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced nurses and those newer to the field who possess EPIC experience. Expect to handle patient ratios of 3:1 in step-down and 6:1 on the floor, with support from nurse aides and remote telemetry monitoring using Phillips equipment. The unit promotes a collaborative environment and is designed to prepare you for a range of medical situations in a fast-paced, ever-evolving setting.
