Job Description:

Join us for an exciting 13-week contract working nights as a surgical nurse in Quincy, Illinois. This role involves providing compassionate care on a busy 3rd-floor unit, specializing in inpatient surgical procedures including joint replacements, hernia repairs, belly surgeries, and some urgent OR cases. You'll work 12-hour night shifts, helping to manage a patient load of 8-12 surgical admits daily while utilizing your expertise in total joint procedures, PCA pumps, and sepsis management. The fast-paced setting demands a skilled nurse who is comfortable with a primary care nursing model, understands titratable drips like Heparin, and can interpret tele monitors with confidence. This assignment offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative team, including virtual admission and discharge nurses, and experience a supportive environment that values your surgical and critical care skills.
