Job Description

Join a Level III NICU team in Los Angeles for a 13-week travel contract supporting premature and critically ill newborns. This 12-hour night assignment includes caring for infants with conditions such as sepsis, gastroschisis, and other surgical diagnoses, including patients receiving nasal CPAP and occasional ventilatory support. The NICU also participates in high-risk deliveries in Labor and Delivery, with respiratory therapy support available in the unit.

Applicants must have at least three years of NICU experience in a Level III setting and be comfortable managing dopamine, dobutamine, Versed, and fentanyl infusions. NRP, PALS, and BLS certifications are required. The schedule begins around 7:00–7:30 p.m., includes every other weekend and one major and one minor holiday, and has no call requirement. Travelers may float first to the nursery or low-acuity pediatrics. Navy scrubs are required.
