Job Description

Join a 13-week travel assignment as a Step-Down Registered Nurse in Cleveland, Ohio. You will care for patients requiring close monitoring and a higher level of support than a standard inpatient unit, with the opportunity to float to related units or the emergency department while caring for the same patient population. This role follows rotating 12-hour day and night shifts, so flexibility is essential—your stethoscope may see both sunrise and sunset. Travelers must have at least 12 months of permanent specialty experience, an active Ohio or compact-state license, and current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. An ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment are completed during orientation, and travelers must work at least every other holiday.

Weather

Cleveland typically offers cool, crisp conditions around this time of year, with changing temperatures, breezy days, and occasional rain. Comfortable layers and a weather-ready jacket are useful for exploring the city and nearby attractions.
