Job Description:

Provide expert neonatal care in a Level III setting serving newborns generally 31 weeks and older. This travel assignment includes caring for infants receiving phototherapy, IV antibiotics, feeding support, and treatment for hypoglycemia, as well as supporting couplet care and breastfeeding education. You will attend deliveries as the baby nurse, provide immediate newborn care, and initiate neonatal resuscitation or stabilization when needed. The role requires confidence with high-flow nasal cannula and CPAP, the ability to work independently with limited resources, and flexibility to float to couplet care or assist with related unit needs. Weekend coverage is every other weekend, holidays follow the regular staff rotation, and occasional call availability within 30 minutes may be required for low census.

Expect mild coastal conditions with cool mornings, comfortable afternoons, occasional fog, and refreshing ocean breezes. A light jacket is useful for early and late hours, while daytime temperatures are generally pleasant for exploring the area.
