Job Description:

This travel contract is designed for a critical care nurse supporting a cardiovascular intensive care unit and a new cardiac surgery program. You will provide primary recovery care for fresh cardiac surgery patients, caring for immediate postoperative patients at a 1:1 ratio and patients recovering through postoperative days 1–3 at a 1:2 ratio. The assignment includes 12-hour night shifts, use of Meditech Expanse, and the opportunity to work with advanced cardiac support technologies, including balloon pumps, Impella devices, and Hemosphere or Acumen monitoring. ACLS certification and recent experience recovering fresh cardiac surgery patients are required.
