Job Description:

Join a respected hospital in Lafayette, Indiana, as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse on a 13-week contract. This role offers the unique opportunity to work 12-hour night shifts, providing hands-on experience in orthopedic, neurosurgery, and trauma units. You'll be responsible for managing a diverse patient caseload, including post-operative neuro patients, trauma cases, and those with complex medical diagnoses such as COPD, pneumonia, and COVID. The assignment emphasizes skills in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, along with procedures like total joint replacements, chest tube management, and bladder irrigation. Floating to different units is required, and local candidates are not accepted. This contract promises a challenging yet rewarding experience, with guaranteed hours totaling 48 per week and a competitive gross pay of approximately $2,442.27 per week.
