Job Description:

This step-down registered nurse role offers the chance to work in a 12-bed unit within the Critical Care Division, providing care for patients who require a level of attention that falls between intensive care and progressive care. The unit cares for a diverse patient population, including trauma, surgical, transplant, and ventilated patients. The RN will be responsible for frequent float assignments across various units such as 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, and others, ensuring flexibility and broad experience. The schedule features 12-hour night shifts with a commitment of 48 hours per week, and the contract lasts approximately 13 weeks. You’ll collaborate with a team of physicians, care techs, and transport personnel to ensure patient safety and high-quality care, utilizing EPIC charting and required drips in a fast-paced environment. The role demands at least two years of recent urban hospital experience, current certifications in BLS and ACLS, and familiarity with ICU procedures.
