Job Description:

Join a dedicated Medical Surgical nursing team in Wilmington, NC, where you'll provide comprehensive care during 12-hour night shifts. As a travel RN, you'll be vital in managing adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses, including general Med/Surg conditions and supportive procedures like insulin and heparin drips, wound care, and respiratory support. This assignment offers the unique experience of working with COVID-19 patients and being part of an Inclement Weather Team, ensuring you're prepared for weather-related emergencies. The role emphasizes practical skills in Epic documentation, medication administration, and patient communication while challenging you with a 36- or 48-hour weekly commitment. Charge nurse responsibilities during night shifts help foster leadership and autonomy. You’ll work in a dynamic environment, often floating to similar units and supporting the storm/hurricane teams during critical events.
