Job Description:

Join a respected hospital in Peoria, Illinois, for a 13-week contract working 12-hour night shifts on a 10-bed Medical-Surgical unit. You'll care for patients with respiratory failure, post-surgical needs, wound care, IV antibiotics, post-CVA, post-trauma, and cardiac conditions. Your expertise with PEG tube care, CVC/PICC/Midline management, and tracheostomy care will be essential. RNs will also troubleshoot and manage ventilator equipment and monitor telemetry, with support from respiratory techs and telemonitor techs stationed in the ICU. This role offers a hands-on experience with a strong team environment, including a charge nurse with occasional assignments, and nurse aides to assist with patient needs. The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, fostering a close-knit workflow where your skills make a difference. Classroom and on-unit orientation ensure you're well-prepared to succeed in your responsibilities.
