Job Description:

Join a dedicated ICU team at a teaching hospital in Lexington, North Carolina, where you'll work overnight 12-hour shifts providing critical care to adult patients with conditions like ARDS, sepsis, COPD, DKA, and stroke. This role offers an engaging environment with a mix of experienced staff and eager new grads, providing an opportunity to hone your skills in ventilator management, vasoactive medication titration, art line management, and chest tube care, all supported by 24/7 RT, intensivist, and hospitalist coverage. You'll help manage a patient census averaging 10 in the ICU, with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, and assist in various unit duties such as transporting patients and supporting ADLs. With an orientation period and a supportive department, this assignment promises a rewarding experience for a nurse with at least 2 years of ICU experience who thrives in fast-paced, high-acuity settings.
