Job Description:

Join a premier neuro ICU unit as a registered nurse on a 13-week travel contract focused on night shifts. In this role, you'll be responsible for caring for critically ill patients with neurological conditions, including trauma and medical/surgical ICU cases. Expect to interpret dysrhythmias, manage increased intracranial pressure, start IVs, and potentially float across related care units like Med-Surg and PCU. The unit emphasizes teamwork and adaptability, and your experience with Level 1 trauma and neuro ICU care will be key to success. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside teaching staff, including precepting students when needed, and includes charge nurse responsibilities contingent on operational needs. Flexible weekends are required, with approximately 50% of weekends worked. IU Health's facilities are teaching hospitals, so be prepared to engage with students and possibly precept or shadow. The role requires a valid Indiana or Compact license, ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS certifications with a minimum of three years of relevant critical care experience.
