Job Description:

Join a 6 West Neurosciences unit at Mission Hospital, situated on the 6th floor of the A Tower in Asheville, NC. This contract offers an engaging opportunity for experienced RNs to work 12-hour day shifts, providing specialized care in a busy neurosurgical setting. You'll be responsible for managing patient loads with ratios typically around 5:1 to 7:1, utilizing standard Med Surge equipment and the Cerner EMR system. The role demands a self-motivated, outgoing professional who is comfortable working with neuro-specific procedures such as Foley insertions and IV starts. Certification in ACLS and NIH is required, with neuro experience preferred to ensure a smooth transition into the team. This assignment is unique for its dynamic unit environment and the chance to develop specialized skills in neurosurgical care, all while working with a dedicated staff on a well-supported floor.
