Job Description:

Join this 13-week travel healthcare assignment on the 4th floor Telemetry unit in Prescott, AZ, where you'll be stepping into a fast-paced environment managing a range of surgical and neuro patients. Your role involves interpreting basic tele strips, assisting with general, orthopedic, and spinal surgical cases, and working alongside RN charge nurses and house supervisors. The unit handles COVID, resp, GI, diabetics, TIA, and CVA patients, with a focus on both patient assessment and monitoring. Expect to read and interpret telemetry strips, set rates for titratable drips like Diltiazem, and collaborate closely with tele techs who monitor remotely. Nursing staff are also responsible for rounding on patients, managing breathing treatments, and ensuring safety with equipment such as Bipap and Cpap. This position offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to utilize your skills in a supportive team setting while experiencing the scenic beauty of Prescott. The role includes working 12-hour night shifts, with a flexible schedule made out for four weeks, including two weekends per schedule, and coverage on major holidays like Christmas, New Year’s, and Thanksgiving.
