Job Description:

Join IU Health as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract in Indianapolis. This role involves working 12-hour day shifts, where you'll be responsible for caring for post-operative colorectal surgery patients on a dedicated medical-surgical unit. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in a Level 1 Trauma environment and handle a variety of patient needs, including those requiring negative-airflow rooms and specialized respiratory precautions. The assignment offers charge pay with a $3.00/hour bump and includes potential responsibilities like charge nurse duties after proper training. Expect to work every other weekend, with some flexibility based on operational needs, and to float between different levels of care, such as Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU, providing resources if needed. This assignment is designed for experienced nurses comfortable with diverse, fast-paced scenarios, and eager to contribute to a team providing high-quality postoperative care.
