Job Description:

This PICU Registered Nurse contract offers an engaging opportunity to work in a 28-bed Pediatric Intensive Care unit that handles both medical and surgical diagnoses for children from birth to 18 years old. The role involves night shifts of 3x12-hour hours, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a requirement to cover four weekend shifts every four weeks. As part of this assignment, you will care for patients with complex needs including ventilatory and cardiac support, ECMO, CRRT, and renal or peritoneal dialysis, all within a supportive pediatric environment. The unit's diversity and the mix of ICU and step-down patients make this position both challenging and rewarding, especially with the opportunity to float within scope to meet unit needs. Expect to collaborate alongside a dedicated team of RNs, patient care technicians, therapists, and specialists in a top-tier trauma and teaching facility. Your experience with ECMO and CRRT, along with a valid SC or multi-state RN license and certifications like BLS and PALS, will ensure your success in this role.
