Job Description:

This travel assignment requires a skilled RN to work in a fast-paced post-surgical care unit specializing in pre and post-operative adult and geriatric patients. You'll be managing a busy 40-bed inpatient area, providing care along a continuum that includes recovery after procedures like joint surgeries and trauma cases. The role involves 12-hour night shifts with variable scheduling, including every other weekend and holiday coverage. Expect to handle an average of 10-15 admissions daily, with a nurse-to-patient ratio around 1:4 to 1:7, requiring adept multitasking and prioritization. Experience with Epic EMR, Rovers medication scanning, and Alaris pumps is essential. Your work will focus on post-surgical recovery, ensuring smooth transitions and high-quality patient outcomes in a unit operating at 90-95% capacity. This assignment offers an engaging environment for experienced trauma and med-surg nurses ready to contribute their expertise in a dynamic setting.
