Job Description:

Join this 13-week travel assignment in the MedSurg unit where you'll be part of a team managing a diverse patient population, including dementia, post-surgical cases, falls, influenza, pneumonia, failure to thrive, cancer, and COVID-19. This role offers the chance to utilize your expertise in wound care, pain management, TPN, and CBI, with preferred experience in chest tubes. You will take patient assignments with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6, working alongside nurse aides and RTs who manage CPAP equipment. As a charge nurse, you may lead the team during your shift, and there is an opportunity to float to the PCU for overflow or low-acuity patients. The 12-hour night shifts require flexibility for weekend and holiday coverage, but there’s no standby or call requirement. The unit emphasizes a professional dress code with solid color scrubs and provides a comprehensive two-day orientation plus one day on the floor.
