Job Description:

This fast-paced Emergency Room role offers a hands-on experience in a Critical Access Hospital setting, where you'll be engaging with both pediatric and adult trauma patients. You'll be performing triage, managing a variety of conditions such as chest pain, abdominal pain, SOB, lacerations, STEMI, and strokes—stabilizing and preparing patients for transfer when necessary. With 12-hour day shifts, you'll work alongside a dedicated team including a physician, APP, house supervisor, RT staff, and a charge RN. This assignment emphasizes well-rounded skills, procedural sedation, and handling a spectrum of ER drips. The environment is intermingled with patient holds, and you'll have access to a "safe room" for psych/seclusion cases. Expect to utilize your experience in fast-paced trauma and general ER care while supporting the hospital’s rapid response and patient stabilization efforts. This role provides a unique chance to sharpen core ER skills in a community-focused hospital that values versatility and professionalism.
