Job Description:

Join our travel healthcare team as a Med Surg RN for a 13-week contract in Scranton, Pennsylvania. As a night-shift nurse working 12-hour overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., you'll be a vital part of a 30-bed unit caring for a mix of medical, surgical, orthopedic, stroke, and remote telemetry patients. Your role will include performing EKGs, IV insertions, medication administration, Foley placements, vital sign assessments, and assisting with rapid sequence intubation (RSI) procedures. You'll also conduct point-of-care testing such as blood glucose checks and contribute to documentation accuracy, all while maintaining a professional yet approachable presence in the unit. This assignment offers the chance to experience a fast-paced environment with opportunities to float to other units as needed, providing a comprehensive view of medical-surgical nursing practice.
