Job Description:

This travel healthcare contract offers a unique opportunity to work during daytime shifts in a vibrant setting. You'll be primarily responsible for patient assessments upon admission, considering physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs. Throughout your assignment, you will reassess patients regularly, develop and update individualized care plans based on comprehensive data, and administer medications with attention to the seven rights—oral, topical, or parental—monitoring for effectiveness and side effects. You'll perform routine treatments and procedures following hospital protocols, ensuring sterile technique and patient privacy. Documenting responses, managing pain, and addressing discharge planning are integral parts of your daily routine. Educating patients and families using resources like Krames and interpreting diagnostic data allows you to directly impact patient outcomes. Clear communication with physicians and team members using SBAR and adhering to safety standards such as restraint policies and infection control protocols contribute to safe and effective care. You'll participate in multidisciplinary planning and understand hospital emergency responses, including activation of Rapid Response Teams and disaster procedures. This role provides an engaging environment where detailed documentation, patient education, and teamwork are essential elements of quality healthcare delivery.
