Job Description:

This ICU travel assignment offers a chance to work in a mixed unit with 39 beds, including MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU pods. You'll be caring for complex patients with diagnoses such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, post-surgical cases, and heavy trauma. The role involves managing ventilators, hemodynamic lines, vasopressors, sedation, and proning, with the opportunity to work with advanced equipment like Impella, IABP, and CRRT. Expect a fast-paced environment with patient ratios averaging 1:1 to 1:3, based on acuity. Expect to work 48-hour night shifts for 13 weeks, with orientation consisting of hospital and unit-specific training. This position is ideal for experienced ICU RNs comfortable working Epic EMR and handling critically ill patients in a collaborative team setting. Precise monitoring of patient conditions and quick critical thinking are required, with some precepting responsibilities.
