Job Description:

This contract opportunity places you in a 28-bed MedSurg unit housing mostly post-surgical and orthopedic patients, as well as medical-surgical cases including pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, and chemo. You will work 12-hour night shifts for 13 weeks in Uniontown, PA, with a weekly commitment of 36 hours. During this assignment, you'll handle a mix of patient types, including those on remote telemetry (monitored remotely with no bedside monitors). Be prepared for occasional assignments to 'dirty' COVID-positive areas, where comfort with dual 'clean' and 'dirty' patient care is essential. The unit is staffed with experienced charge nurses, a clinical manager, and resource nurses, providing a well-supported environment. Your role will involve implementing patient care in a fast-paced setting, ensuring smooth unit operations, and adapting to unit-specific protocols.
