Job Description:

Join our team as a critical care nurse in a mixed acuity unit where you'll care for both progressive and ICU patients. Your role involves managing ventilated patients, initiating and titrating IV medications such as vasopressors and sedatives, assisting with intubations, and performing line placements. The unit features advanced equipment like Phillips heart monitors, EKG machines, and Epic EMR systems. This assignment offers a chance to apply your critical thinking skills, work on a variety of patient conditions including sepsis, respiratory failure, and myocardial infarctions, and collaborate closely with a team—all while enjoying a supportive environment that maintains ratios of 1:2 or 1:3 depending on patient acuity. You’ll work three 12-hour night shifts per week, floating across ICU, progressive care, and Medsurg units as needed. The unit's vibrant atmosphere is matched by its commitment to comprehensive onboarding and a dress code of Caribbean blue scrubs with matching jackets. If you're a dedicated ICU nurse with at least 1.5 years of experience and current licenses and certifications, this contract is an excellent opportunity to expand your skills in a Level 1 facility environment.
