Job Description:

Step into a rewarding medical-surgical/telemetry nursing role at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, where you'll be part of a specialized team caring for a diverse patient population. This contract offers the opportunity to work 12-hour night shifts with a 36-hour weekly commitment over a 13-week period. You'll handle a variety of cases, from orthopedic surgeries like total knee and hip replacements to complex medical conditions such as pulmonary issues, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, and psychiatric illnesses. The unit includes both general medical-surgical patients and those with behavioral health needs, requiring you to be comfortable working in a secured environment and possibly floating across different floors and units as staffing demands evolve. Expect to use EPIC charting, administer drips across all floors, and bring at least 2 years of experience working in a large, urban hospital to this position. You’ll also need to be prepared to float frequently, especially during peak times like college sports events, and work major holidays as required.
