Job Description:

Join IU Health as a PCU Registered Nurse for an engaging travel contract at our campus in Indianapolis. This role involves providing specialized care on a 32-bed cardio-pulmonary unit focusing on patients with cardiac, pulmonary, and neurodegenerative conditions. You will work a 12-hour night shift, every other week, and may be called upon for charge nurse responsibilities, which include overseeing unit operations, and possibly precepting students or shadowing nurses. If you enjoy working in a teaching environment with opportunities to float across different patient care levels, this assignment offers both diversity and challenge. The role emphasizes heart and lung health, with a focus on complex cases like lung transplants, COPD, and trauma patients requiring ventilator support.
