Job Description:

Join this fast-paced MedSurg and cardiac observation unit, located in Parkersburg, WV, for a 13-week travel contract working 12-hour night shifts. As part of the team, you'll manage a variety of patients including post-procedure cath cases, CP rule-outs on heparin drips, COPD, CHF, pacers, arrhythmias, and more. Your main responsibilities will involve reading cardiac strips, monitoring patients using telemetry, performing EKGs, bladder scans, and vital assessments. You'll also support patients with BIPAP and CPAP devices, but high-flow support is not used here. The unit operates with a team-oriented approach, including a charge nurse available 24/7, and requires flexibility to float within the hospital when needed. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in a busy, engaging environment while working with set-rate drips like Cardizem and Amiodarone.
