Job Description:

Join a travel assignment as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Winfield, Kansas, where you'll be at the forefront of high-risk obstetric care in a critical access facility. This role involves stepping into a fast-paced environment that demands quick thinking and skilled hands, particularly after the second shift. Expect to assist with sterile speculum exams, monitor fetal well-being with external fetal monitoring (EFM), and participate in high-risk vaginal deliveries including use of forceps or vacuum. You'll handle surgical cases like cervical cerclage, support neonatal and newborn care, and contribute to postpartum recovery, all while managing pain and ensuring safety for both mother and baby. The setting offers a mix of routine and emergent cases, providing a comprehensive experience beyond conventional labor workloads.
