Job Description:

This emergency room RN position offers an engaging opportunity to work in a bustling trauma environment where quick thinking and adaptability are key. As a bedside trauma RN, you'll handle a variety of urgent cases, including critical care procedures like medication titrations, arterial line management, blood transfusions, and chest tube placements. The role requires working 3 days a week for 12-hour day shifts, with a possibility to experience the fast-paced rhythm that keeps the ER bustling. You'll be part of a team managing patient ratios of 1:5 and stepping into the trauma room to deliver lifesaving interventions. This assignment is ideal for experienced RNs comfortable with Cerner electronic health records and holding current licenses in the District of Columbia. Your background should include at least 3 years of ER experience, with certifications such as NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLS. A BSN is highly preferred for this role. Prepare to immerse yourself in a diverse range of cases from urgent care and psychiatric patients to pediatric and trauma cases, all while maintaining safety and quality standards that make a real difference.
